Eco for Kids reaches out to today’s children on a more personal level, as the live programs will focus on what kids can do in their own daily lives to create a harmonious and peaceful planet. Eco will provide age-appropriate performances to educate and entertain in an innovative manner. The mission of these programs is to guide children to make Earth happy. Throughout the performance, a visual change will take place with the Earth itself. Upon opening the scene, the Earth will be portrayed in dull, lifeless color- saddened by children’s lack of knowledge and experience in protecting Earth. By the program’s end, Earth will be bright and smiling, proving that each task performed to conserve Earth’s resources will influence it for years to come. Children in kindergarten through 3rd grade will benefit from these programs, which can be performed in both English and Spanish. A variety of subject matters can be presented: energy conservation, recycle and reuse, taking care of our air, and water conservation. Children learn to appreciate the beauties of nature...the trees, the sky, the animals, and why it is necessary for all of us to be concerned about the future. Eco teaches through entertainment! Each program will allow kids to participate in some capacity. For example, during the recycle and reuse program, children will be asked to volunteer on stage as the host conducts a recycling game, teaching kids how to separate glass, paper and aluminum for reuse. The concept of cooperation will come into play as kids guide their blindfolded teammate to the appropriate recycling bins. All props are designed in foam and fabric, and their bigger-than-life, whimsical style will capture the attention of the children. Eco for Kids will go everywhere and can be set up in many types of facilities. We bring it all…including FOLLOW- UP materials for instructors and children. Activity books will be provided to each child in order to reinforce the Earth conservation concepts. Support materials can also be requested via the Internet.
